Dragonfly,
Twisp
Designed as a quiet retreat within town, this home balances privacy with expansive views to the southwest toward Lookout Mountain and north to the North Cascades. The house was designed for a retired couple, including a long-time, highly respected local builder, and the process became a true collaboration.
Together, we focused on using straightforward, familiar building techniques—applied thoughtfully to create spaces that feel open, generous, and carefully proportioned. The result is a home that is comfortable and refined without being complicated, combining builder-friendly construction with strong architectural clarity.
Highly energy efficient and deeply responsive to its site, the home offers a calm, light-filled place to settle in, with framed views, durable materials, and a quiet confidence that comes from simplicity done well.
